“We save time with AI”: everyone says it, few teams measure it. Without measurement, you cannot know which uses to develop, which training pays off, or answer management when it asks what the subscriptions cost. The method fits in five steps.
In short
Choosing reference tasks.
Measuring before.
Measuring after, review included.
Tracking quality.
Deciding.
The method in five points
Choosing reference tasks
Three to five frequent, comparable tasks: minutes, a follow-up, a monthly summary. Not the exceptional ones.
Measuring before
For one or two weeks, everyone notes the time spent on those tasks. An honest estimate to the nearest quarter of an hour is enough.
Measuring after, review included
The same measurement with AI, counting framing and review time. This is the most common mistake: forgetting the review.
Tracking quality
Number of corrections requested, feedback from clients or the manager. A faster text that needs reworking twice saves nothing.
Deciding
Keep the uses that really save time, drop the others, and train where the gap between people is wide.
What AI does not do for you
Measurement does not replace judgement: time saved on a task does not say what the team does with the freed time. That is the next question to ask, and it is often where AI profitability is decided.
What stays out of the request
To measure, there is no need to monitor people or record their screens: self-reported figures on a few tasks are enough, and a team buys into a measurement it makes itself far more readily.
Find out where you stand
Before choosing a course, the most useful step is knowing where you start. Our AI skills test asks questions matched to your role and tells you, in a few minutes, what you already do well and what would save you the most time. For a whole team, AI training for teams starts from your real tasks, not from a generic course.

Only 24% of French people feel trained in AI: what about your team?
France ranks 40th out of 47 countries for AI training, according to KPMG and the University of Melbourne, while companies are raising AI spending far faster than training. What the studies say, and how to train a team of 20 to 500 people.
