Digital and AI maturity audit

AI Audit Sprint & Roadmap: know what to automate before you spend

In two to four weeks, you know exactly which projects will save you time and money, in what order and at what price. And if a project is not worth it, we tell you before you pay to find out.

The market in figures

What public statistics, research and industry studies measure. Each figure links to its source, and when the author sells consulting or AI, we say so.

71%

of French companies that do not use AI say they see no use for it. It is the first barrier, ahead of a lack of expertise (54%).

2025 survey of 11,000 companies with 10 or more people, on their organised use of AI.

3.6%

of revenue: the value that large companies tracking AI in their income statement say they get from it. Those that do not measure it report 1.2%.

Self-reported survey of 1,330 executives in more than 60 countries, more than half at companies with over $5 billion in revenue; fieldwork dates not published. BCG sells AI consulting.

8%

of the companies surveyed really measure the return on investment of their AI, while 95% have an AI strategy.

2,110 executives at companies with at least $100 million in revenue in 20 countries, surveyed from 19 February to 17 March 2026. KPMG sells audit, consulting and AI services.

What you gain

Your budget goes to the right place

Projects are ranked by impact and feasibility. You start with what pays most, instead of what makes the most noise.

Wasted spending avoided

A written go/no-go, project by project. A project that does not hold up is set aside before it costs you anything.

Your tools put under the microscope

Every tool you pay for is listed and analysed: what it is really used for, what overlaps, what connects to the rest. You also see what you could save on your subscriptions and your AI bill.

Automations designed, not just listed

For each project kept, we design the proposed workflow: what triggers it, what each tool does, where AI helps and where a rule is enough, where a person approves.

A team that is heard, and keeps up

We interview management and the people who do the work: what holds them back, their appetite for digital tools, the training that would help. A tool nobody adopts earns nothing: the roadmap moves at the pace your team can follow.

A project ready to run

The roadmap is costed, ordered and broken down into milestones, with what each step asks of your team. It is yours, and can be carried out with or without us.

Who it is for

  • Your team of 20 to 500 people juggles tools that do not talk to each other and re-keys data by hand.
  • You want to know what to automate first before committing a budget.
  • You have already tried a no-code tool and the project stopped halfway.
  • Your teams try AI tools each on their own, and nobody knows what it costs or what it brings in.

What you receive

  • Your digital and AI maturity score, area by area, checked on your real tools and with your teams.
  • The interview notes, department by department: what works, what gets stuck, what is re-keyed by hand.
  • A map of your processes as they are really carried out.
  • The inventory of your tools and your manual tasks, with what each one costs you and what overlaps.
  • For each tool, what connects to the others and what does not, and what it would take to link them.
  • The proposed automations and workflows, designed step by step, with the place of AI and the place of your teams.
  • Where your team stands: what holds it back, its appetite for digital tools, the training to plan.
  • The possible projects, ranked by priority according to impact and feasibility, with a written go/no-go for each.
  • A costed project plan: the order of the projects, their milestones, what each asks of your team and who leads what.
  • A review of your subscriptions and your AI bill, with the model that is enough for each use and the possible saving.

Prerequisites

The audit moves fast when three things are ready before the workshop:

  • One person on your side who leads it and is reachable every week.
  • One hour with each department head involved.
  • Read access to your main tools, or exports.

How it goes

  1. Scoping

The online digital maturity test, then 20 minutes with us to check that an audit will be useful to you.

  2. Interviews

Management and the people who do the work, department by department, then a half-day workshop: their tools, what holds them back, what they would like to learn.

  3. Analysis

We list your tools, design the possible automations and workflows, then cost and rank each project, with figures checked at the source.

  4. Hand-over

We present the roadmap and the project plan to your management, ready to launch.

Frequently asked questions

What if the audit concludes there is nothing to automate?

It happens, and we write it down. You leave with the map of your processes, the list of your real irritants and the reasons for the no-go: a bad expense avoided.

Our team is small: is the audit worth it?

Not always, and we tell you so. The audit pays off when the team is large enough for every gain to multiply. The 20-minute scoping is there to check this before you pay anything.

Does the audit always recommend AI?

No. For each project, we name the simplest means that does the job: often a rule, a script or a link between two tools you already have. When AI helps, we combine several models, each on the task it does well, rather than handing everything to the most expensive one: that is what brings the bill down.

What about AI agents, do we need them?

Sometimes. An agent plans, acts, checks its result and starts again until it reaches the goal: useful when a task chains steps that cannot all be foreseen, unnecessary when a rule is enough. The roadmap says, project by project, whether one is needed and with which safeguards: limited permissions, a capped number of rounds and human review before anything that commits the company.

Do we need to prepare anything?

No. We need an interview of about an hour with each person we talk to, a half-day workshop with those who do the work, and access to their tools.

What happens next?

You keep the roadmap and the project plan. If you start the projects with us, they build on it, with no new paid scoping, and if you sign a transformation retainer within three months, the price of the audit is deducted from your first month.

Rarely just one service. Most of our clients combine several: build your cart and ask for a bundled quote, a set of services gets a better price.

Agentic AI: how an agent's loop works

An AI agent does not do everything in one go: it runs in a loop, gathers context, acts, checks and starts again. Understanding that loop means knowing where to put the controls, the limits and the human review.

Who enforces the AI Act in France? The law is still pending

Adopted by the French Senate on 18 February 2026, the bill naming the AI Act enforcement authorities is still waiting for the National Assembly. Who would supervise what under the Senate text, what already applies without it, and what a business can prepare in the meantime.

AI reads your browser tabs: what rule for your business?

In mid-October 2026, ChatGPT's Chrome extension learned to read open tabs and act in them, and Apple announced it would tighten disk access on Macs because of AI agents. What a browser assistant really sees, and the simple rule that says, tab by tab, where it belongs.
